- Allegheny County Councils of Government. This interactive map show the County’s eight Councils of Government, their member municipalities and the location of the COG office.
- Status of Municipal Planning. This map is based on information available to us in September of 2019. Municipalities can amend, adopt or repeal an ordinance at anytime, so be sure to check with the municipality.
Essential Planning Library:
Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC). This important legislation enables your municipality to plan for and regulate the use, subdivision and development of land.
MPC Municipal Planning Series. The DCED’s Planning Series explain different parts of the MPC in straight-forward language. The Planning Series are highly recommended reading for newly appointed and elected officials, as well as citizens who want to understand how local government works.
